Pav Pattice or Mumabi Street Style Masala Pav Recipe is a popular chat food that can be called as a cousin to Vada Pav, the famous Mumbai street food. In this version, instead of the vada, we stuff it with a pattice and use different sets of chutneys.
If Vada Pav is a popular Street food in Mumbai, they have another version that is as sinful as this vada pav. Pav Pattice or Masala Pattice Pav is made with Pav bun stuffed with Tikkis or Pattice. So it is a burger made with ladi pav stuffed with pattice, chutneys along sev and onions.
The chutneys used in this Masala Pav Recipes are the sweet tamarind chutney instead of green chutney. It uses wet garlic chutney instead of dry garlic chutney. So they use aloo pattice instead aloo bonda. In addition, Pav Pattice also has onions and sev for crunch. So what you finally get is a crunchy, spicy Indian-style burger made with Pav Bun.
I adapted mine from Vaishali when she had posted this on her space. Infact most of the recipes I made for the Mumbai Street food were inspired by the different street food she had shared.
I had made Pav Bhaji, Cheese Pav Bhaji, Cheesy Masala Pav, and Kanda Bhaji Pav. The highlight was the Lahsun ki chutney. This Pav Pattice is my choice for P in the A to Z Every Family Dinner Ideas. You can also check out this Katori Chat for a new recipe.
