Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Fresh Garlic
  • 2 to 3 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • 1 cup Methi Leaves finely chopped
  • 1 cup Peas
  • A Pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker
  • Add mustard seeds. Let splutter.
  • Next, add finely chopped green chilies, then add the fresh garlic paste.
  • Add methi leaves and saute well. Let them wilt.
  • Now add the peas. Saute for a few minutes.
  • Add rice, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • Add water and bring to a boil. Cover with lid and cook for 3 whistles.
  • Serve hot

Notes

You can add garlic cloves if you don't have fresh garlic If fresh methi leaves are not available, use Kasuri Methi
