Semiya Ladoo ~ Easy Diwali Sweets

Semiya Ladoo is an easy Diwali Sweet that you can make very quickly. This is made with vermicelli and surely makes a difference from the regular ladoos you can make for the festival season.

  • 1 cup Vermicelli / Semiya
  • 1/2 cup Semolina / Rava
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Fried Gram / Pottukadalai
  • 2 tbsp Dry Coconut / Copra
  • Mixed Nuts


  • Heat a nonstick pan and dry roast the vermicelli for about 5 to 7 mins till it turns golden. Make sure you don't burn it.
  • Allow to cool down.
  • Similarly roast the rava in 1 tsp ghee. Remove to a plate.
  • Powder the Fried Gram to a fine powder and remove to a plate.
  • Powder the roasted vermicelli to a powder.
  • Roast the mixed nuts of your choice and transfer to a plate.
  • Take all the ingredients and mix well.
  • Melt the ghee and slowly add to the bowl and pinch down as ladoos.
