Microwave Upma | Upma in a Mug
Microwave Upma is the fastest way to have your breakfast and it tastes just as great as it is cooked on a stovetop. Enjoy this easy and quick one now.
- 1/2 cup Semolina /Rava
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Onions finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 Green Chillies finely chopped
- A Pinch Turmeric Powder
- Salt to Taste
- Handful Curry Leaves
- Handful Coriander Leaves
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Urad Dal
- 1/4 tsp Chana Dal
- Handful Cashewnuts
- 1 tbsp Curds / Yogurt
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Ghee
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together and let it sit for 10 mins.
Grease two microwave safe mugs. Divide the mix and pour into the mugs.
Microwave for 30 secs. Remove and mix well. Again microwave for a minute.
Let it stand for few seconds, remove mix the upma and again microwave for 30 secs.
Once done, let it stand for 5 to 7 mins as it will be extremely hot.
Serve hot with chutney.
