Kothamalli Podi or Kothimeera podi is a spice powder made with fresh coriander leaves and whole spices. This can be served on the side or sprinkled on dosa top.
Heat a nonstick pan and dry roast all the whole spices tossing around for 5 to 7 mins, towards the end add the dried coriander leaves and tamarind. Saute well and remove to a plate.
Allow to cool and then powder it coarsely.
Notes
This can be served as a dip for Idli, Dosas or as a spread as well.This podi has a good shelf life and can be stocked for at least a couple of months when refrigerated.
