Ingredients
For the Kootu
2mediumRadish / Mullangi
2mediumTomato
1small Onion
4no Green Chilies
Salt to Taste
2tspCooking Oil
For the paste
1tspCumin Seeds
1tspCoriander Seeds
2tspCoconut grated
2Dried Red Chillies
1inchGinger
Instructions
Grind the ingredients required to be ground to a smooth paste.
Heat a pan with oil, saute chopped onions, til it turns colour.
Then add the ground masala till it gets cooked well.
Next add chopped tomatoes, green chilies and grated radish.
Cook on high for it to get nicely cooked.
Add turmeric powder, salt and little water to boil.
When the kootu is well cooked, which takes about 5 to 7 mins, garnish with grated fresh coconut and coriander leaves.
