No Tomato Pressure Cooker Vegetable Pulao | Vegetable Pulao in Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 & 1/2 cup Rice Raw
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 tsp Ghee

Whole Spices

  • 4 Cloves
  • 2" Cinnamon
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 3 Marti Moggu

Pastes

Spice Powders

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder Roasted

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Beans 1 inch chopped
  • 1/2 cup Carrot 1 inch chopped
  • 1/2 cup Potato cubes
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Peas
  • 3/4 cup Onions juliennes

Instructions

How to make No Tomato Pressure Cooker Vegetable Pulao

  • Wash and soak the rice for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Prep the vegetables and chop, keep it aside.
  • If the pastes are not ready, grind now.
  • In a pressure cooker, heat the cooking oil and ghee. Add the bay leaf, all the other whole spices and sauté well.
  • Next, add the onions, saute till it turns colour. Now, add the ginger garlic paste and green chili paste.
  • Continue stirring till it turns colour. Now, add diced vegetables, salt, and turmeric powder. Simmer for 5 mins with lid covered.
  • Now, add all the spice powders, combine everything well.
  • Next, add the water and bring to boil. Stir everything well and check the seasoning.
  • Add the drained rice and give a stir.
  • Cover with pressure cooker lid and cook for 3 whistles.
  • Once the pressure falls down, fluff with a fork and transfer to the hot box.
  • Serve with raitha.
