Ingredients
For Pressure Cooking
7cupsCarrotsgrated
1cupSugar
2cupsWater
For Final Cooking
1/2tinCondensed Milk
1/4cupGhee
5 to 6 Almonds
Instructions
Wash and grate the carrots.
In a pressure cooker, take the grated carrots along with 1 cup sugar, 2 cups water. Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Once the pressure falls, remove the lid, and continue cooking on high for the water to evaporate.
When the carrots thicken, add 1/2 tin condensed milk and simmer.
In a small pan heat the ghee, and roast the chopped almonds. Add this to the carrot halwa.
