Strawberry Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Strawberry fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • Blend the strawberries couple of times, ensuring it's not pureed completely.
  • Heat a saucepan and transfer the pulp into it and cook on high, while you keep stirring it.
  • Add sugar and allow it to dissolve completely, simmer as this gets done. This takes about 10 mins on low flame.
  • Add the lemon juice and stir well.
  • Remove and allow to cool, store in an airtight container.
  • Serve as a topping or make lemonade.

Notes

This keeps well for a week when refrigerated.
