Mutton Gojju ~ Andhra Semi Gravy

For the Spice Powder 2 inch Cinnamon 2 to 3 Cloves 2 Cardamom 1 tsp Cumin Seeds 1 tsp Fennel Seeds 2 tsp Poppy Seeds For the Mutton 300 gms Mutton 1/2 tsp Salt A Pinch Turmeric Powder For the Gravy 3 tsp Cooking Oil 1 cup Onions 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder 2 tsp Coriander Powder A Pinch Turmeric Powder Salt to Taste 1 cup Coconut Milk Thick Handful Curry Leaves Handful Coriander Leaves
For the Gravy In a kadai, heat the oil, add onions and saute till it changes colour.
Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
Add the boiled mutton pieces along with water and let it cook till the water evaporates.
Add coconut milk and all the spice powders and simmer further till the gravy reduces to thick coating to the mutton pieces.
Sprinkle the ground spice powder and chopped curry and coriander leaves.
Serve with Roti or Rice.
This is a semi gravy that can be mixed with rice and eaten or served as a side dish with Rotis.
