Paneer Poha Payasam ~ Day 6

Paneer Poha Payasam is a delicious payasam made with freshly made paneer or chhena and poha/aval, suitable for any occasion and during this Navratri season, it's an apt neivedyam.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Beaten Rice / Poha/ Flatten Rice
  • 3 tsp Paneer
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • Mixed Nuts as required

Instructions

  • Wash the poha and soak in water for 10 mins.
  • Make the paneer with 1 cup milk with 1/4 tsp lemon juice.
  • Drain the paneer for 10 mins.
  • When you get ready to make, heat the sugar with 1/4 cup water.
  • When the sugar is melted, add the drained poha and simmer for 5 mins
  • Next add the crumbled paneer along with milk
  • Let this get cooked for 5 to 7 mins
  • Add chopped nuts
  • Offer as Neivedyam and partake!
