Time demanded I cook something quick and fast for our lunch. Hubby was away on a trip and for just two of us, we didn’t know what to cook. Konda normally eats something for a Sunday lunch, that is if we feed her. As all Sundays, this was no less hectic. We spent most of our energy getting the kids fed and bathed and ready for a nap. But Chinnu refused for a nap and was more interested in playing. Not only that, when he sees Peddu asleep, he will ensure he wakes him too.
Both of them have this habit of going and sitting over the other and patting them to sleep, when the other one is fast asleep. So after two minutes, you are sure the other one will get up. So this time, we tried hard to keep him away. And every 5 mins, I was checking on the time, as I had to cook. And I was harping on the fact that they will give me at least a hour or so for cooking. Though all I got in the end was just about half hour, and I felt this mixed rice is the best I could dish up. It came out very well since I cooked in a pan and not a cooker. It almost came closer to the brinji of my dreams!
