    Cabbage Urad Dal Bonda

    I have yet it another vada that I had made during the lunch thali that I had posted couple of weeks back. This simple, yet delicious bonda is made with shredded cabbage in urad dal. Try this and enjoy for a wonderful snack or as a side dish for sambar.

    Cabbage Urad Dal Bonda

    For Batter

    Urad Dal - 1 cup
    Green chillies - 2 (optional)
    Salt to taste

    Masala to be added:

    Cabbage - 1 cup
    Onions - 1 medium
    Green Chillies - 2
    Curry Leaves - few
    Coriander Leaves few

    Oil for deep frying.

    How to make Cabbage Urad Dal Bonda

    Soak Urud dal for minimum 2 hrs. Drain the water and grind it to a very smooth batter. You can grind chillies along with the batter or can be added later as fine pieces as per taste.

    Chop cabbage, onions, green chillies and add all the ingredients to the batter.

    Heat Oil in a kadai. When the oil is hot, drop in bondas with help of a spoon. Cook in sim to ensure it gets cooked well.

    Serve hot

      Crispy looking vadas,once I tried with cabbage and vada was more flavorful and crispy..your crispy vadas reminded me to make it again..
