Nawabi Egg Masala curry is a rich creamy gravy made with a ground spice paste with eggs simmered in it. This makes a delicious side dish for Naans or Rotis.

If you think you remember reading about a dish like this, then yes, you are right. I have already shared Nawabi Potato Masala and I used the same masala for making the eggs. Same to same, you might ask why I did such a blasphemous act of repeating the dish when I could've easily mentioned that one can use different ingredients to get different recipes.

Well, sorry we don't work that way and even if it's a slight change, we feel it changes the recipe. Kidding apart, I just wanted to share this as exclusively prepared with eggs as I believe I hardly ever look deeply at a recipe that is not a veg and Konda might never check if it's a vegetarian. I just didn't want to confess that I had overlooked the part that I already have a similar recipe.

Anyway coming to the other theme I was supposed to share on Veggies sneaked in, I was lucky I had a recipe for and then have to struggle to make the other two. I was so heavily relying on the half Zucchini lying the fridge after I made the Zucchini Dosa. Every time I open the fridge, I would think I must make the cookies and cake I have wanted to make with it. Every time I would wish that it somehow withstood the dire cold climate in a fridge and be still fresh.

Imagine my shock and surprise when I couldn't find it! Athamma asked me what I was searching for. On hearing, I was looking for what, she expressed that the cucumber was long past its life. I didn't make an effort to let her know it wasn't a cucumber but a Zucchini. But then, how should I explain Zucchini to her?

For a moment there I was thinking of the possibility of Cucumber Cookie or Cucumber Cake, then I remembered that it surely sounds too weird to myself too. I also remembered the one time when Athamma was adventurous and made Cucumber halwa. That's a story for another day!

Meanwhile, read this and enjoy! We are doing out BM#94 Week 3 where I have been sharing some dishes that take 30 mins from Prep to Plate.

Haha... of course we bloggers don't work that way, one ingredient will change, that means it is a totally new recipe! I am really wondering where the zucchini aka cucumber vanished to, hehe... 😀 The egg masala looks creamy...

The gravy sounds very flavorful, Valli. I am sure the eggs can be replaced by paneer.

There is a lot of difference between egg masala and potato masala... This deserves its own post. 🙂 Cucumber Vs Zucchini saga has happened in our household too. 🙂 This is such a creamy masala. As Harini mentioned I would love to try with paneer or tofu or potatoes. 🙂 Yummmm

I eat eggs but for some reason I have been unable to wrap my mind around egg curries - regardless I love all the spices you used and am sure this is a very flavorful curry

That gravy indeed is fit for a Nawab! So rich and delicious. That is so cute of your atthamma. I am with her, it is hard to distinguish at times between cucumber and zucchini.
