The next brownie on the list is a brownie with Gems. Yes, the idea was from seeing M&M being used for making brownies. Since we do not get them, I decided to use Cadbury's Gems. I was planning on getting a batch and then told the kids that I would be using it in a brownie. As luck would have it, my cousin who was visiting us, got chocolate boxes, which also had gems in them. Even after alerting the kids, boys' gems disappeared and only Konda saved her packet for me. So it finally saw the daylight. Though all my brownies have been made with a cup of flour, the measurements and little changes are done, which have made all the brownies taste different.

Make sure you add gems in between two layers. After being baked, the gems do taste awesome on the whole with the brownie.

    Eggless Chocolate Brownie with Gems

    Ingredients Needed:

All purpose flour - 1 cup heaped
    Cooking Chocolate - 1/4 cup
    Butter- 2 tbsp
    Sugar - 2 tbsp
    Curds - 3 tbsp
    Cocoa powder - 3 tbsp
    Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
Baking soda - a small pinch
    Milk - 3/4th cup
    Gems  - 1/2 cup

    How to bake the Brownie

In an Microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate for 1 min in spurts of 30 secs. Then add the butter and melt again.

Mix well and then add the cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and curds. Mix everything well.

Now add the milk to get the thick consistency.

Add baking powder and soda and gently blend.

Line a baking tray and pre heat the oven at 185 C.

Transfer half of the batter and add half of the gems over the spread batter.

Now spread the rest of the batter and top it with the remaining gems.

    Bake for 30 Mins.

    Cool before slicing into pieces.

I am noting your brownies series. Using gems is a nice idea. I have not baked with gems nor with M&Ms. Need to bake with these very soon.
