Happy Krishna Jayanthi / Janmashtami to all my readers!Hope everybody had a wonderful celebrations!

We had a quick pooja and things went on as usual. Just wanted to share a quick savory that you could make easily for the festival.

    Ragi Namak Para

    Ingredients Needed

    Ragi powder - 1 cup
Hot Milk as required to knead
    Chili powder as per taste
    Salt to taste
    Jeera - 1/2 tsp
    Ajwain - 1/4 tsp
White Sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp
Poppy Seeds / Gasa gasa - 1/2 tsp
    Oil for deep frying

How to make the Ragi Namak Para

In a wide bowl, take all the ingredients and slowly add the hot milk and mix with a spoon for the flour to get mixed. Once it comes together, knead with hand to a shift dough.

Rest it for 10 mins, then dust and roll out a disc. Cut into diamonds and keep it aside.

Heat a kadai with oil, when it is hot, deep fry the diamonds. Drain to a kitchen towel.

Store in an airtight container to preserve it for couple of days.

Hope everybody had a great celebrations today!
