Jeera Aloo Sabji is one of the easiest dishes you can make. It hardly takes time and very quick to prepare. Jeera or Cumin is my favourite spice. I tend to add it more to many of my regular dishes as well. When I started cooking, this was one of the spice I was very sure about, while I used to get confused about other ingredients. While I used to stumble with other spices, I always knew about Jeera and would use very frequently.
I have my favourite Jeera Pulao, cooked in different ways. The other dishes that I add cumin more is to my different versions of Ven Pongal, Tomato Rice, Ghee Rice etc.

Coriander Leaves handful

How to make Jeera Aloo Sabji:

Next, add tomatoes. add all the powders. Fry on high flame for 2 mins.
Then simmer and add water. Then add the potatoes, bring it boil, then simmer so that the potatoes get cooked. Once they are done, add Cumin and simmer for 5 mins more.

Hi Sunita, Nice recipe. I first saw this on Anita's a mad tea party, where she pressure cooks the potatoes and tomatoes together, and then adds the tadka with some dhania jeera powder and garam masala powder.
I love this, its one of my favorites to prepare. Especially with roti, and raita.

Nice dish! But at what point are the potatoes added? After the tomatoes are done? With the water?
Kindly edit the recipe to indicate this. Thanks!
