Qutab is an Azerbaijani stuffed flatbread made with a thin, crescent-shaped unleavened dough. The fillings can vary from meat to just about anything. The outer layer is rolled out very thin and folded over cooked fillings.

When I first came about this dish, I was amazed at how exciting the writer was about making this dish with different fillings. The flatbread is a simple one to make. And for filling you can use meat along with various other ingredients.

Of course, when the meat is used, it has to be cooked and filled. If you are using cheese filling, it can be salty cheese like feta. I further read on this dish and came to know that this is served as a breakfast dish. Just like our Parathas, very filling and healthy too.

There are different types of Qutab. A Qutab can be stuffed with different fillings like meat, pumpkin, cottage cheese, and greens. I settled with a recipe that called for cheese and herbs mix.

This looks so much like cheese paratha, but the addition of spinach surely makes it a bit healthier. Sounds like an awesome breakfast to make..

Nothing can go wrong with cheese, paneer and spinach as filling and it is my fav combo for any filling. Qutab looks and sounds just alike our paneer palak paratha with cheese.

I think every one has to repeat some of your creations here for the Sep BM. 🙂 As I said in earlier posts, these cheese breads are all kid friendly. I guess that was the theme you were trying probably.

      Hi,
How much water needed for the outer layer? I think it's missing in the recipe.

      Thank you.

Hi, thanks for dropping by. Please start with 1/4 cup of water or less. The water needed depends on the flour used. So its safe to start with less quantity and proceed. I have updated the recipe, thanks.
