Microwave Delaware Apple Crisp is a take on the popular Delaware special Apple Crisp. Cooking this in the microwave makes the whole task so much simpler and quicker to get your dessert!
I had this planned when I was supposed to do the US Cuisines. Somehow I couldn’t make it, yet had noted down some recipes I could make from the book I have on 50 popular American Dishes from 50 states. Picking a vegetarian dish from all the 50 states was quite tough when I saw most had meat as their popular dish.
So this was one of the dishes and then read that this is also made during Christmas time. I finally ended up making it and when I am cooking for just cooking 1 portion, I always resort to microwave cooking, though this recipe is traditionally baked.
I could’ve paired it with Bakeathon, however, I was already deep in the neck not being on time for the posting, so just went ahead and made it for today!
I shared it with my colleagues and everybody enjoyed it much. Now if Konda reads this, she will want her share, which I know is pretty easy to get done!
Delaware Apple Crisp
1 / 2 cup Apple 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tsp Corn Flour
A pinch Cinnamon
2 tbsp Milk
2 tbsp Oats
2 tsp Butter
2 tbsp Sugar
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter at 30 Sec.
Then add oats, mix well and microwave for 30 Secs.
Add the flour, brown sugar and microwave for a minute.
Mix well and remove half of the oats mix.
Now place the sliced apples over this.
In another microwave bowl, mix corn flour with milk, sugar, microwave for 30 secs.
Beat the mix well and pour over the apples.
Finally, sprinkle the saved oats mix on this and microwave for a minute.
Be cautious in digging into this right away as microwaved food tends to be very hot.
