Surati Cold Cocoa is a delicious chocolate drink very popular from the streets of Surat, Gujrat. This Cocoa Milk Shake is your answer for the hot summer season and you can enjoy this creamy, smooth, and chilled Cold Coco.

When I was planning for Surati Street Food, I started with Vishali's Surati Paratha that is made and served as a sunflower. I worked from that point to identify other popular street food like Surati Paratha, Randeri Aloo Puri, Surat Tameta Na Bhajiya, and Collegian Bhel. Finally, after deciding that these number of dishes were more than enough for me to cook on the day, I searched for a dessert that can make this a complete meal. I landed in cookingshooking video channel featuring Surti Cold Coco Milk Shake.

This Surati Cold Cocoa is a cold cocoa drink made with cocoa powder and is a very popular drink in Surat. I saw a couple of videos and street vlogs that also featured A-One Cold Coco special drink.

At one point in time, I used to make some milkshakes or the other on a weekly basis though I never actually clicked pictures of those. These Chocolate Lassi, Mango Lassi are some of my favorite drinks.

For S in the A to Z Easy Family Dinner Ideas, I decided to make this drink. If you are looking for easy family dinner menu ideas, then this surely fits the bill.

    For the Milk

Boil milk in a pan until done and simmer till it gets well boiled. Takes about 10 mins or so.

    For the Slurry

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the cornflour and cocoa powder. Slowly add the milk to get a smooth mixed liquid without lumps and set aside.

    Making the Drink

Once the milk is simmering, gently pour the slurry into the milk, whisking continuously using a whisk.
Add the sugar, while you keep stirring for 5 minutes over low flame.
Next, add the chopped dark chocolate and let it melt, and get well combined.
Bring the milk to a boil, when the consistency is thick and creamy, remove from flame.

    For serving

Add some crushed ice to the serving glass, pour the hot drink, and top with chopped chocolate
    Serving suggestions:
You can serve with a scoop of ice cream over this for extra taste

    Points to remember:
Make sure the milk is not very hot when you add the slurry, it will lump up.
You can add ice cubes as per your choice, however, more tastes great.

Love the addition of dark chocolate and that slurry sounds interesting. I love street food vlogs too but shocked to see the amount of cheese they use these days. Not sure if it's a new trend. Sorry I deviated from the topic. Great cold cocoa recipe valli.
