Arisi Thengai Paal Payasam is made with cooked basmati rice simmered in milk and thick coconut milk added for final garnish.

This is a rich and creamy kheer and can be cooked very quickly if you decide to make this for neivedyam. If you are looking for more Payasam recipes you can make for festival or prasadam, check out the collection of Payasam Recipes on C4AS and Payasam Varieties on SYL.

For the Navratri Day 3, Nava Durga observed is Chandraghanta (Venus). Tandula (rice) represents Shukra (Venus). So the dishes that one can prepare can be all white like Milk sweets, Kheer, Coconut Rice, Coconut Payasam. So I decided to make Rice Coconut Payasam, White Motchai & Coconut Rice.
