Cauliflower Au Gratin is a baked creamy dish cooked with white sauce, two types of cheeses to make it more creamy and delicious for a warm winter night.

I was planning on making it over the weekend and ended up making it much later than I planned. Weekends seem to be so rushed, never enough time to do how I plan. With weekdays becoming next to impossible to do my blog cooking, weekends seem to end up the same as well. I somehow managed to bake a huge batch of cookies that as expected, got over before Monday began. The basic idea was to bake cookies at home so that I don't resort to store bought cookies.

Hubby Dear was saying I should be planning on making these things rather than buying them. It was a hint at both being a food blogger plus having enough to blog about. Anyway, that's for another post.

Today's Cauliflower Au Gratin is from French cuisine, which I heavily adapted to my taste by adding red chili flakes. My plan was to have this on Sunday, however, it now becomes my bakethon post as well. Initially, I had an idea to microwave this dish, since it had to be part of Bakeathon, I ended up baking it. The dish came about very quickly because I had made white sauce and onion powder along with garlic powder. This can be done in flat 5 minutes if you were using the microwave for it.

We are starting BM#83, Week 2, with me making some dishes for Christmas at home. Au Gratins are popular casseroles or warm winter meals made for Christmas dinners. So I decided to have this on the menu!

Among au gratins potato and cauliflower are the best that I personally like . The cheesy dish looks fabulous and even I would not mind it for my meal.

Hehe... that's sweet of your husband to give you ideas of how to feed the blog... 😉 I am not a cauliflower person but my brother is, and with all the cheese and yummy stuff, I am sure he will go flat for this dish... must try out for dinner...

Looks creamy and delicious. Every year I plan on baking cookies for Christmas but back out in the last minute. More than me my husband scares as people here have lot of nut allergies and am afraid to share with anyone other than close friends.
